I used Painter 5.5 to create the bird image for this scene. Rest of this is created entirely with Bryce 4. This one was harder than I first thought it would be. I like the clouds now but they are still not how I really want them to be. It was very hard to get the impression of light coming from that moon. I tried several different lighting variations and not a single one of them worked until I just created a radial light and moved it so that it was approximately where the moon is. How obvious. Why I didn’t try that at first place!
Also, getting that soft look for those clouds on the right, took some time.. But after all, creating this scene has taught me a lot about lighting, how it works in Bryce 4 and what kind of limitations there are. And.. my wife didn’t like those clouds. Grin.
